MAYA ANN

Maya Ann began her love for the arts at the tender age of two and a half. She began touching and smelling fabrics with her Nana and godmother.  This led to her coaxing her godmother to the fabric store and sitting with her to create two beautiful dresses. This was the first of many creative pieces to come.

At that same time she was always delighted to receive new paint sets of water color and oil paints complete with the right form of paper.  She would then get busy with creating art work. She would frequent art stores — asking questions and slowly acquiring the paints she wanted to purchase. By age four she was painting frames for photos and pictures for her family as gifts.

While exploring this side of her creativity, Maya was performing at family and church functions. Her love for theater grew and led to her performances in plays while attending an arts magnet school in St. Paul. Maya has performed with Penumbra Theater, Stepping Stone Theater, has also done print advertising for local photographers and also appeared in a video for STATECRAFT Rochester’s video trailer.

Maya lives with her parents and siblings in the Twin Cities Metro area and attends a local school.
